does anyone have a step by step script on how to connect to a rad remotely? all the bells and whistles how to connect

CICS or MICS? Direct line?

Programming RAD to pick up through Auto Attendant. (NOT CICS)

Hook up an ATA to one of the station ports of your phone system, for discussion purposes lets use ext 230.

Next take the analog side of the ATA and connect it to an unused CO port of the ICS. For discussion purposes lets use line 68. Now set the RAD to auto answer line 68 on 18 sec (minimum allowed).

You can now go to your PC running remote tools click on NRU Shell then remote tools and put in the phone number for the customer's AA followed by 4 to 6 commas (1.5 second pauses) then 230 (ext of the ATA) next enter the RAD password.

For the connection type select remote and then click connect. (I am assuming that the baud rate already matches) the call will ring the Auto Attendant and then wait for the pauses to take effect, by that time the AA has answered and is ready for the extension which will be dialed.
Hopefully you will now hear modem tones and make your connections.

Your ICS software and the NRU (Norstar® Remote Utilities) must be compatible in order for them to talk. Please consult a tech support technician if there is any question.

For 6.1 systems you will need NRU 10. There needs to be a FastRAD installed on a station port off of the phone system.
