R4 Central Phone Book

Hi just put a new R4 Dect systems in on ip office 500 V2 version 6. On the Master dect there is a phone book option where you can enter the IP address off a tfp server which should then alow the phones to browse the ip office for contacts.

I have entered the avay as the TFTP server then under there you have 2 options as below:-

TFTP SettingsServer IP Address 192.168.0.8
External Directory File /nasystem/dir_list
Internal Directory File /nasystem/user_list7
Synch. Interval [min] 60 mins

These option were in by default and since applying this I can now go to the dect and browse contacts using central phonebook which is the directory on the ipoffice But when i just press the contacts button the phone it wont find and users on the actually ipoffice system, I dont have and AIWS server but the documents read like you no longer need one for this type of operation

If any one can help sort this confussion it would be appreciated

You need to go in to the menu and use the central directory and not the little book on the screen.

Hi thanks for the reply I have done that and that works but only show the central directory how do i get it to show users on the internal ip office? i think thats what this path is for

Internal Directory File /nasystem/user_list7

That should be alright.
Look if the users are set for ex directory.
Or does it work form a normal phone?

yes a normal phone is ok but these are dect r4 and you used to have to have a AIWS but now it reads that you dont need one. It just comunicates via TFTP which is half working as I can see the central directory?

Yes by tftp.
I have it working very well so there must be something wrong.

What version is your dect?
What version is your ipo?

I have the same versions.
Do you perhaps have a compact dect base station or a normal base station?

it seems to be working now but only when I browse using contacts central directory is there nay way internal users can be brought up just by pressing phonebook then search?

No, that is the way it works.
You should not use the button of the phonebook.
I think that is a directory on the phone itself.

Thanks yea your right it seem that way . 1 more question if thats ok when there on the phone and put a call on hold I cant see any way to access the contacts? is this the case or im i doing something wrong?
