Hi does anyone know what the disk 2 of server 2003 R2 is for?

For one, it's the CD you need to run the adprep from to prep your schema for R2.

It has the featurepack that makes your server R2. The first cd is basically the exact same as 2003 standard. On the second cd, there is a small installable file that makes it R2. If I remember correctly, it is like under 40mb. Thats what does the schema changes and adds the features of R2.

What exactly is "R2"? I mean, whatv does it indicate/designate exactly? I have a 2003 Standard x64 Sp1 CD that includes or is labled R2. So does that mean I don't need the R2 CD? Deos this apply to x86 Enterprise Edition?
