"you do not have rights" error

even logged on as domain admin on our pdc that we are backing up, we are getting the error message stating that we do not have sufficient rights to change anything. this is a system that has been running the same backup job for a couple of years, and now all of a sudden, when i try to pause the job to clean the drive and clear the alarm, i am told that i do not have rights? any ideas on what might have caused this or where i should check?

Any group policies? What versionof Backup Exec?

doh! nevermind. when i had rebooted the server, it had lost its c$ share. weird and misleading error message to get though. thanks.
