Hello,

I wonder if anyone can help, I have a user, running WinXP pro, with Outlook 2002. He cannot see his sent items? The error message appears:

"Unable to open folder" when trying to view sent items in outlook 2002

Have tried re-creating both his, outlook, and winxp profile, but the problem is still there. I can however view his sent items, if i open his email account from my pc (when i'm logged on as myself, domain admin). Gave user domain admin rights to test, but again the problem is still there.

Any ideas?

What type of permissions are on his mailbox...

Hi, thanks for your advice.

Checked the permissions, and they are ok, also ran cleanviews command, that didn't resolve it either.

I have found out something though:

This problem is the same for this user on any pc, (including mine, and i've got domain rights). It occurs when you select the user, as the primary exchange account, on the pc. If however, i'm on my pc, with my primary account "david", then i select an additional mailbox, and pick the user who is having the problem, the sent items folder is then visible?

Again this is pointing towards permissions on the mail box....
The thing that you have noticed above is the same as"I can however view his sent items, if i open his email account from my pc (when i'm logged on as myself, domain admin). "
