Hi,

When i try to run a macro via a button in a form, I get a "type mismatch" error while the macro is running.
What does this error mean?

The macro I am running has links to other smaller macros depending on the ID field value in the form. The macros mainly involve runSQL actions which insert data into the subform table.

Your help will be most appreciated,

Raymond

Type mismatch refers to data not being of the expected type. For example, testing if 4 = "4" may return a type mismatch (Access performs many conversions on the fly but will not do this for a join or many other things in queries). Also if you use a function that is returning the correct type but for some reason returned an error instead you will likely see this message.

Also note that hitting help when the error popped up would have told you most of this.

If you want more help, convert your macro to code and post the code here. Also, if it calls any queries, post the sql from those queries.
