I know this should be basic stuff, but when trying to debug programs I often get "Source not available" in the debug window. I haven't been able to find out which setting needs altering to allow the source to be shown in the debug window. Can anyone help me? Thanks!

The program or form needs recompiling. At the command window type (for example) COMPILE c:\MyPath\MyProgram.prg

Hope that helps,

Stewart

Sorry Graham, I should have explained that "Source not available" happens when the program file (.prg) has a file date after that of the compiled program file (.fxp).

Thanks Stewart. I had actually recompiled. After posting, I realized that in the Project->Project Info menu I needed to check the "Debug Info" box, which resolved the problem.
