What is the best way to disable the shift key on startup?

Currently, If I press the shift key and hold it down while opening a database the database loads with the database window where a user can view code, make changes, manipulate the database, etc.

What is the best way to prevent this?

Thanks!

The following thread in this forum, entitled "Unable to create MDE file", contains code written by Randy Hicks that you can use for this.
