"Record too long" error on synchronisation

Hi,

I have a replicating app (Access 2000) that has been working fine for ages. Yesterday added code to allow automatic import of names from an excel spreadsheet and then imported some.

the databases had been synchronised before the additional work but now I have the error "Record too long" on synchronisation. I have checked the new records but none exceed the field settings - what else should I be checking?

All help gratefully received.
