"Record is deleted" error on query.

Hello,

I walked up to our county codes office where I typically copy building permit data to a disk for use in our reporting system. I need data from last month, so I set up a make table query with the WHERE "criteria" being >#5/31/2005# And <#7/1/2005#. As the query was running, I got an error message stating: "Record is deleted". I thought there may be a writing issue, but I change the query to a select query and got the same error

Any idea what the problem is?

Sounds like an index corruption.
Try compacting the database and see if that resolves it.
(Backup the live file first).

That makes sense, especially after finding this:

The codes department did mention that they 'had database problems' in the previous week. They said their network shut-down. Perhaps somebody was editting a record when they lost the network connections.
