I have a multi server network with Windows 2000 SBS running Exchane server and Windows 2000 server running SQL. I have v11.1 installed on the SBS server and I have the agents for exchange and SQL installed and they apear to be licenced (help/about/licence) . The backup has been running OK for 1 month, but now when I run the backup the SQL backup fails with the error

Failed to start backup. (DBNAME=Slett1st_training, EC=GPPDOC:Backup Agent Error - (188) "Product grace period expired".)

For each database. Does anybody know why.

Thanks

Hi,

Where you using a Trial License? or a FULL product license.

I'm assuming that this would have been a 30 day Trial license.. and thus it has expired in a month.

So it Shall be Written!
So it Shall be Done!!

Thanks for the help, CA finally got back to me. The problem was caused by the fact that I had installed the licence for the SQL server onto the backup server as thats where I had installed the agent. The error went away when I added the licence to the SQL machine itself.

Thanks again.

Regards
