I have a new Avaya Aura (6.3) fully SIP system and need to create DNs that I can route to VM. In a CS1k I would build a phantom DN and dcfw to VM. In an Avaya Aura (TDM) I would build an X-port with a coverage path to VM. In the SIP system, thru the System MGR page I tried building a vector and VDN for each "phantom number" and that didn't work. The call gets to VM via the vector, but the "dialed" number is not recognized. So I've tried building a user in User Management, but that also failed as I have no Endpoint to activate. Anyone know the best way to accomplish this?

Are your endpoints sip or h.323??

Never tried this but if CM is acting as a feature server you could try building a virtual station associated with your user in SM.. dont know if it will work but worth a shot.

Hi This works in many ways as long as the sip trunk between CM and Messaging is set up right.
Look if the trunk is set to private and make sure the private numbering table is correct.
Also look at the used route pattern and make some changes to numbering format.

If al works I would you 1 van/vector for all stations and put a messaging step in the vector.
