I'm getting this error whenever I'm attaching a document regardless of the size of the document....sending a regular email with no attachement is fine. Has anyone experienced this before and if so what was the solution??? Thanks. I'm using NT4.0 maybe the problem is bigger than email i.e NT4.0 issue??? also all other apps work fine no errors word, excel etc.

Have you tried right-clicking on the file you wish to send and doing a "Send To Mail Recipient". We have the same situation on one PC and this is at least a temporary workaround that works. We are still looking for a actual fix. The system we have is Win2k with Office XP. Sometimes if we shorten the name of the attachment file it goes through okay as well. If you find the solution let me know.

Thanks

Actually Kstrick3 I think I found the problem and solution. It appears that the temp folder on the c drive had taken the attributes of the history folder contained within the temp folder. After this was rectified the problem went away.
