"Operation invalid without a current index"????

"Operation invalid without a current index" error received when attempting to open a database. All database objects have disappeared and even the "open", "design" and "new" buttons are blank! What does this mean and how can it be fixed? Please help!

I've run into that a couple of times and I believe it means that the database is corrupt. I've been able to create a blank database and import the objects from the corrupt db.
