I have about 100 phones -- M7208, M7310, and M7324 models -- connected to my MICS 6.0. When calling from one set to another, if the destination set is on another call, the calling set should see "On Another Call" displayed. However, this does not work for all destination sets.

From the tests that I have done, this appears to be determined by the CALLED (destination) set, not the CALLING set. I spoke to my phone tech and he asked me to check out the firmware revisions on both the working and non-working set. Here is a sample of the CALLED sets firmware and if it works or not:

M7208, Rel 18D (9908): WORKS
M7310, Rel 17B (9803): WORKS
M7310, Rel 19D (9906): NOT work
M7310, Rel 23 (2002/07): NOT work
M7324, Rel 04 (2002/07): WORKS
M7324, Rel 05 (2002/09): WORKS

Also, for all tested sets:

• There are three or more Intercom buttons, so it's not a matter of all the buttons being in use.
• DND on Busy is off
• Priority Call is off

What governs if "On Another Call" will appear or not? More to the point, how can I set this up to work for all sets?

TIA,
roshan

Try checking what ports they are on.Is it a station module they are on.Press feature Star zero-press i/c button press more or next for port.

Thanks for the tip. Here's what I found (expanding on the earlier info):

EXT PORT MODEL FIRMWARE STATUS
282 414 M7208 Rel 18D (9908) WORKS
213 113 M7310 Rel 17B (9803) WORKS
257 310 M7310 Rel 19D (9906) NOT work
229 121 M7310 Rel 23 (2002/07) NOT work
258 306 M7324 Rel 04 (2002/07) WORKS
215 115 M7324 Rel 05 (2002/09) WORKS

As you see, on the KSU I have 2 sets that work (ports 113 and 115) and one that doesn't (port 121). Also, on the Station Module 3, I have one that works (port 306) and one that doesn't (port 310).

One other thing: the firmware version is from the sticker on the bottom of each phone. I looked at the parameters of a couple of the ports, and it has a "VERSN" for the phone connected to the port. For example, port 310 has a 7310 with version 06PAE07. Would this info. help?

What else can I check?

Take 2 sets of the same type, one that works and one that doesn't. Make sure auto relocate is off and swap the sets. Repeat for a number of other sets to make sure you get consistant results. From this you should be able to isolate where the problem is.
