I'm running 6.2 on Win2k SP2. Some clients are fine, but Compaq ML530s fail (Legato server is ML530, backs itself up and other servers fine, just not other ML530s). The error received is that the client "is not a registered client." Has anyone encountered this before? I'm still working with Support but they have no answers yet.

When exactly are you getting the message?
What format of hte name is it returning?
Is it returning mycomputer is not a registered client,
when the computer name is mycomputer.mynetwork.com
on your network?
Try doing a ping of the client name it is returning in the error, then an nslookup of it.
Ensure you get the same IP address from both.
Also, ensure this is the name the client is known as within Networker, or one of the aliases for that client.

Turns out these particular clients needed the FQDN-dot config of the name! Thanks for the help! Now on to other problems ...
