"Missing MSVXD.EXE" error message on bootup 1

On bootup the error message "MSVXD.EXE or one of its components is missing - replace the file or remove the reference in the WIN.INI file" is displayed

I can not find any file called MSVXD on this system or my other W98 system, and there is no reference to MSVXD in the WIN.INI file

Any help in resolving this error message would be gratefully received
