Is it normal on the task manager a process called "inactive process" keeps running most of the time with 90% of cpu usage?!?!

Thanx a lot.

Marco

No this isn't normal.
If it is using 90% of the CPU you could have a problem.
Have you scanned for viruses & spyware etc?

Yeah man. I'm using the Lavasoft software and Norton 2004. They found nothing, it's really weird dude. I tried lots of things and the problem continues...

Thanx a lot

Marco

Are you sure it says "inactive process"?
I have just looked at my task manager & noticed that if nothing else is running that I have a process called "system idle process" running at about 98 - 99 % of CPU usage.
If you run another process then this is reduced.
So looking at it, If you have the same process, I think you should be OK.
Sorry about the other misleading post's, but I didn't think to have a look at my own taskmanager first.
What a dummy I am.

Your right man, my windows is in portuguese, so I did a bad translation of that. In english is system idle process, but again, is it normal?!

yes its normal if you are not running any programs it should be much smaller when running some programs though
