We have 3 Servers running Windows 2000 and 50 users.
domain is domainOLD.com (old company name)
We have a new Windows 2003 R2 we ran DCPROMO to promote it to a domain controller as we want migrate all users and profiles to the this new server with the new domain (new company name) domainNEW.com. We can then shutdown the other old servers and propose new replacements in the new 2003 domain.
In the past we just tranfered data over to the new server(s) and went around to all of the workstations and reconnected them to the new DC and re setup everyone of their profiles individually. Create duplicate users and change login scripts etc.
These is a weekend job and then Monday we are waiting for problems which always happen.
Is there a better way?
Help..
Thanks!!
