Hi,

I plan on installation of Veritas NetBackUp 4.5 on SUN FIRE V880 server. I didn't originally installed it and I would like to know the hardware configuration. I know that it has 2 internal and 2 external StorEDGE A5000 disks. But I would like to know how much memory it has. What is the command to do it. OS is Solaris 8

Thanks,
Alex

Try this,

#/usr/platform/sun4u/sbin/prtdiag -v

Hi Alex,

Another way to find out how much memory a Solaris System has is to use the following command:

prtconf | grep "Memory"

I hope that helps.

Mike
