Is there away to make the default action for all perl scripts be "$| = 1"? If so, can someone let me know how to do that?

Thanks in advance!

you don't want to do that, trust me.

You can require a script which does it for you, but you don't want to do it all the time, .... think about the frustration of your coworkwers.

and their accessibility to live ammo ...

Bad idea IMO

Good point, Paul.

So, are you saying that either I turn off buffering for ALL (you don't recommend that, but how would you do that???), OR I have to require a script that does it OR write "$| = 1" at the top of each perl script....correct?

yep, but it's something you want to do for each instance of the requirement, usually with some comments as to why you're doing it ...
