I'm working on a form that contains quite a few fields and is therefore pretty wide. I am using a scroll bar, so the user can scroll horizontally (and vertically) through all the items. Now I need to add a few more details to the form.

What I need is User, Company, Group and then all the information fields. What I want is to be able to lock User, Company and Group, but horizontally scroll through the rest. Like in Excel, if I were to freeze on the fourth column.

Is there anyway this can be done is a continuous Access form?

Thanks.

How are ya NMiller007 . . .

Can be done but only in [blue]DataSheet View[/blue].

In VBE help have a look at the [blue]FrozenColumns Property[/blue] . . .

Thanks for the reply. I did a little more research and I kind of came to that conclusion (I recognize Calvin, so you must have answered this question before).

Can DataSheet view be used as a subform? I am working on updating an existing system, so I have to keep the look of the system. Could I say keep my same form, but just insert a DataSheet view of my query where the Detail section of the Continuous Form was?

thanks again.

Okay, I got the DataSheet view into a subform. I haven't done the freeze column yet, but I'll take a look at that next.

Thanks again.
