caused an invalid page fault in module SHELL32.DLL at 016f:7fcc5668."

own a Compag MV520, win98, 64MB RAM, AMD K6-3D processor. I recently
attempted to delete several unused programs from my computer. After
restarting, I attempted to right click on several icons on the desktop and
in the "My Computer" file. After right clicking I receive an illegal
operation message. After clicking the "details" tab it reads, "EXPLORER
caused an invalid page fault in module SHELL32.DLL at 016f:7fcc5668." I'm
not sure how to alleviate this problem. Any help would be greatly
appreciated. Thanks

have you installed a program called Plug-In for Windows? if you're using a version earlier than version 2.5, then this may have caused the problem. try to disable the program by removing it from the startup folder or from the "load=" line in win.ini

for more information, you can visit:

hope this helps.

You might try re installinf shell32.dll from another location. I usually get a copy from another computer but you may not have that option.
