"corrupt" DVI signal with 6800gs agp + vp2030b

System description
AthlonXP 2800, Gygabyte GA-7N400L, evga 6800GS agp and Viewsonic vp2030b

Bought the two last pieces recently and had problems in DVI-D since.

1) When windows boots, i always get a dvi-a signal even if i force dvi-d with monitor options. I only get DVI-d signal when i shut down the monitor (ie On/off button) and wait until WinXp is fully loaded, then i always get a dvi-d signal.
How come dvi-d is not recognised at boot?

2)Pixel clock in dvi-d is 140 compared to 162 in dvi-a mode. How come? Should this result in some more noticeable ghosting?

3) When in dvi-d @ 16*12 res, playing games is just fine. However, I do notice that with high AA and Aniso, my 6800 GS agp trails a bit: some very thin horizontal "snowy" lines cross the screen at random location, its not often, but u feel the signal is not "complete" or "full" in dviD.
Plus, when changing screens, or levels, ingame, the screen goes black with an awful "snowy" signal, very short though, seems like the signal is a bit "uncontrolled".
What is the source of this (minor) problem?

4) When playing full screen videos (any type) in DVI-D, Whatever program i use for watching movies, in full screen in -d mode, the image shows a horizontal "asynchronisation":

It is not the case in -A mode. I have noticed that, in -D mode, not going full screen and adjusting the video window the screen edges, it gives me a good signal (ie no asynchronisation) until i reach 5-8 mm near the right or left edge of the screen, then the windows shows me the movie with a "asynchro" picture.

I dont know if asynchronisation is the right word, but it feels like the signal is not complete @ 16*12 on the horizontal frequency.
Could I force a 75hz freq horizontaly in -D mode ?? I doubt it.. even with Rivatuner, and the Omega nvidia drivers I could not do it!

How could I solve this "asynchro" problem?

Would a pure dvi-d cable solve those problems? Would an ATI card solve the problems?

Is it a EDID problem?

Please I need some advice.

Here is a thread that explains in more details those specific problems, but no solution yet...

I am going to try a x1600 pro agp and a pure dvi-d cable.
