"Cool" popup windows

Hi all

Has anyone implemented anything like the cool "floating" windows that appear on

?

Now, I know that this particular site has been written in Flash, however some time ago I saw a similar website which used popups like this and I am sure it was achieved using JavaScript. The popup window was also semi-transparent which was really neat.

You will notice that the popups are not your conventional looking "Windows" style - which is what I like about them.

I would be eternally greatful for any pointers, code, etc.

I think what you're referring to is DHTML layers, not windows. Try this link:

Yeah... layers! - - now that I know that's how it's done I went on the hunt and found exactly what I'm looking for at
