Hi folks,

Does anyone know how to create a "Brady-Bunch" (Screen split into 9 even segments) effect in Adobe Premiere 6.5? Many thanks in advance.

Regards,

Joe.

It's a bit difficult, but you can use the Zoom feature and make each video smaller. Then place them properly on the screen.

I think there's also a video effect that does a similar thing.

Hi there,

Thank you for that; do you know where I can find such a video effect?. Many thanks.

Regards,

Joe.

its pretty hard but use your Motion filters to do so (under the Clip > Menu )

This effect is acutally the easiest to do in After Effects.

This effect is a snap in Premiere. Specifically, considering the Brady Bunch thing: Say you have 9 AVI clips.

The main image appears on Track 1.

Then the remaining 8 clips appear on successively higher superimposition tracks. You'll have to tell Premiere to add enough superimposition tracks -- to do so, look under (I think) track options by clicking the triangle along the right side of the timeline.

So, now you have a 9-track, 30-seconds of video or so.

For each of the superimposition tracks, apply Clip >> Video >> Motion and squish the frame to wherever you want it. You'll figure it out once you start messing with the settings -- Motion isn't that tricky.

It's a neat effect -- I do stuff like this all the time. Me and superimposition tracks are buddies!

Cheers,

Edward,

Thank you very much for that; I will give it a go. Take care.
