FYI scenario...
2 exchange servers (about half and half clients on each server).
One Exchange Server 2k (win 2k server) crashed a few days ago. We temporary created another exchange server for mail. Also, our GAL resides on a different server all together. The other exchange server that DID NOT crash have no problems and all users are running ok...
A FEW of our clients including myself, are having problems resolving names in Outlook. Before we use to type in a few letters and when we "tab" out of the field, or start typing our message, Outlook will resolve the name automatically. NOW, we have to either "check name" from tools or do a ctrl-k.
I also checked for *.nick files, didn't find any on the machines and attempted to remove and readd the affected profiles. I also checked to make sure that "automatic name checking" is on, which it is.
Note: From the computers that I checked, this is happening to only clients that were on the server that crashed.
Any helpful suggestions????
