"A failure occurred while attempting to start the compilation"

Please help me get rid of this problem. Sometimes, to fix it, i delete the /bin/ and /obj/ folders from all of the sub-projects. It doesn't work anymore. I can't compile, therefore I can do anything. PLEASE help me!

The error is as follows:
"A failure occurred while attempting to start the compilation.

Make sure that you have all of the Service Packs installed and if possible the lastest version of your development tool.

I think I may have had this problem once a long time ago and what I did was to create a new project and directory. Then add the existing items to the new project.

Sorry that I can't be more help. I remember being frustrated over this problem.
