Hello,
I am experiencing a wierd problem as of late. When my users send outgoing messages to differnet domains occasionally they receive the following message back from the system administrator.
"Your message did not reach some or all of the intended recipients.
Subject: Test Message
Sent: 7/13/2004 8:58 AM
The following recipient(s) could not be reached:
Jeremy Weisser on 7/13/2004 8:58 AM
There was a SMTP communication problem with the recipient's email server. Please contact your system administrator.
<myexchangeserver.com #5.5.0 smtp;550 Invalid domain myexchangeserver.com>"
I am running in a multi-exchange environment with 3 exchange servers, 2 on the west coast and 1 on the east coast.
The two east coast servers are running Windows 2000 SP4\Exchange 2000 SP3 and Windows 2003\Exchange 2003 SP1, respectively. The west coast server is running Windows 2000 SP4 and Exchange 2000 SP3.
The servers are all domain controllers and are all AD integrated DNS servers.
The message only appears to users on the west coast and again is not happening consistently. The wierdest part about the message is that it is saying that my domain is invalid. It would make a lot more sense to me if this was happening with external domains but it is completely internal.
Any ideas as to what could be happening here?
Thanks in advance,
JW
