Quicktime slowmotion ?

Does anyone know if Quicktime can run in slowmotion?
I have not found anything about this effect in Internet, forums, faqs. I think it's an important tool for video processing. I know that I can export Quicktime files to avi and then process them in slowmotion but that's not my point.
There are several effects for Quicktime but not slowmotion.
