Is there a way you can have a quicktime movie embedded into an html document using dreamweaver but the movie can only play once the user clicks on the moview itself? I want to have have an image be the first thing the user sees before the movie plays once clicked. A good example is at apple's site. The URL is below. Thanks.

right-click on the image and check "Pligin-settings"
it is a part of quicktime movie creation.

I dont have any quicktime tools right now, but consider also an opntion of your image where u use some JS/QuicTimme trigger that will do onLoad or Onclick....if u write move about your tools for QT creation perhaps we can tweak it.
All the best!

I actually figured it out with the help of apple.com. In dreamweaver you have to use (well at least they used) an active x plugin. And you have the image as the src and the movie as the href and it works fine. The quicktime trailers that don't have offical websites are using this.

ok great!
tip:active x is not as "active" as people think...rather nasty tools if used maliciosly (what Pop-up did to JS)
anyhow, cover your security on the script and carry on.
Nice work!
All the best!
