Quicktime hangs IE6 browser

Each time I try to view any trailers on the apple website my browser hangs. At one point I did receive an error 3285 from quicktime I think but have had no luck tracking this error down.
I run XP on a P4. I recently applied SP1 to XP which I believe automatically patches IE6. It seems to have been since then that I started seeing this problem.

try reinstalling quicktime. or download the newest version of qt.

already tried that - quicktime v6.3 - still getting the same errors. Is it possible the service pack altered some IE settings ?

no, since i have both and nothing wrong is happening with them.

ok.....fixed it.

basically I ended up rolling back to v5.0.2 and everything works fine.
