quicktime controller not appearing

i have multiple quicktime movies in different pop-up windows. for some reason some of the QTs play with the controlle visible, while others do not. they all have the same code with controller="true". does anyone know why the controller wouldn't show up, and if there is a way i can fix it.
could use this help ASAP, so thanks to anyone in advance...
