How Do I disable or enable Windows XP System Restore

Is there anyway to get into the command prompt or safemode in XP so I can delete two files that are infected with virus..

Regards

Phu

If you hit f8 on start up it will give the option to run in safe mode !
If you have a boot disk and know where the file you want to delete, you can delete it before the operating system loads.

Iam not sure if you can actually disable system restore it is but just a program ! you run it or you dont !

To disable system restore:
Start | right-click on My Computer | Properties | System Restore tab | check the box.

Hey, Thanks you Snah and Philbong for the quick reply. I boot up that client XP in Safemode and was able to delete the contigious worm. Thanks again for all the help, it was very helpful.
