Is there a logical reason why, when I program a CHARGE key on an M2317 or an M3900 set the key reads ACCOUNT on the actual phone set instead of CHARGE? I've been wondering about this for three years now...thanks.
I can't change the label on the M3900 hard keys. Only the 12 programmable keys. I just wondered why the key doesn't actually read CHARGE, since that's what it is.
I don't think either the CDB or the CPND has anything to do with it but key 25 on an M3900 set can only be programmed as a charge (CHG) key. But the key shows on the phone as Account. If it's a charge key I would think the key should say Charge, not Account...just one of those things I always wondered about...
My 3904 key 25 says 'Charge', when I hit that key I get two choices, 'Account' and 'CParty', hitting either one of those keys I get 'Charge is not Allowed'. Don't know what it means, don't use the key anyway.
No, I don't want to change anything. I just wondered why the key, which is physically programmed by yours truly as key 25 CHG, yet on the instrument itself the word ACCOUNT shows up.
