I have checked all the previous threads concerning the Quick Launch bar and could not find any solution to my problem. It seems that in the process of cleaning up the hard disk I must have deleated something, but what I don't know. I have been keeping my computer free of unnessasary files for many years and never had this problem before. It seems that the quick launch bar is present upon boot up however it is empty and I cannot drag icons in to it. The QL folder is present and contains all the icons that were there when it was working properly. If I right click the task bar and uncheck the QL toolbar selection the empty space closes. Then if I reselect the QL toolbar it reforms on the right side next to the system tray, but I still cannot drag any icons into it.After all my research on this problem I feel if there is solution submitted I must format and start all over, which at this point will consume many hours of my time. Please help...

As I said in my original question, I have done extensive research and this info was previously posted, I therefore have checked it out and to my chagrin the reg. key was not even present to be able to deleat. So at this time there is no solution present.

I had faced the same problem. What I had done is, go to the QL folder and from there drag the icon on the QL Bar and it worked. Try this and let me know.

If Psingh's fix doesn't work......Try Right clicking in Taskbar>Toolbars, and this time choose "New Toolbar"......and navigate to QL folder.....

Then Right click in New QL bar and uncheck "show title", "show text",and choose View>"small icons" if you prefer.......
