There is a user with a single AD user account that is mail enabled. He has his primary address. He would also like to be contacted at a generic address so that people dont know his first and last name etc.etc.

I created one under his account called whatever@work.com. This email is not a new user, but a simple alias for his account, he still has his real email address and all.

It all works fine, but when it comes to his inbox, he would like to have it so that it goes to a different folder when email is addressed to "whatever@work.com"

So he has under the inbox another folder that he manually has to drag to. He gets alot of personal mail and doesnt want to get this work related stuff mixed in with it (go figure lol), so how would he accomplish this?

Email sent to his alias he would like to go to another mail enabled sub folder under his inbox.

An outlook rule would be my guess too.

add a rule:

When a message arrives
With whatever@work.com in the header
move to SomeFolder
