This question is in the context of using the Exchange Agent that is built into MS Backup.
Quick question about something I was thinking about today. After installing an Exchange Service Pak, for example, it invalidates any backups taken before that upgrade.. OK.
Is this also true if you move the location of the transaction logs and/or the databases? For example if you moved the databases from the c:\ drive to the e:\ drive?
If so, in a disaster recovery situation, after rebuilding the server, would you have to mount all the databases in the same exact physical locations for the restore to work?
