I have made ONE autonumber form. When I open the form it defaults to the FIRST record NOT the last. How can I change the form to either default to the NEW record, if I have 20 records the form would default to the empty record at number 21, or default to the LAST record. The NEW record is preferable.

If your using a macro to open the form you can have the macro open to a new form as a default. When you open my database it default to a form with a bunch of buttons you select witch button/form you want to open and the macro does the rest

The easiest way to ake the form open to the NEW record every time is to set the DataEntry property of the form to yes. This will open the form to the new record every time. Programming isn't a profession of choice.

Base your form on a query in which you sort the autonumber guy in DESCENDING order. If you open the form in 'normal' view, it will be positioned at the last logical record. If you open it in "add" mode, it will be blank.
