OK... basic scenario, Call comes into one VDN to be answered the ANI is assigned to Variable A... Agent needs to transfer to another department puts caller on hold and dials another VDN. I want the ANI (Var A) to go with it so I try to move A to variable B but I can't get this to work and stay in place on the call once the other VDN is in play. I've tried creating Variable B in the Set Variable command to various types of variable from collect, value, ANI whatever but I can't get it to stick... any advice?

Another question... when I look at the variable in list trace vect the leading zero is dropped. however, on the turret display on the incoming call shows 'a= 0xxxxxxxxx to Test VDN' (x's being whatever the rest of the number is) so how can the variable on tracing the vector drop the leading zero but include it on the turret display? I've had a good look on the system to see what is predefined on the system for turret display but can't find it anywhere.

Thanks in advance for any pointers on this thanks!

Once the call is answered, the variables go away. You can however set an ASAI value and have it persist across legs. Set your variable, copy your variable to the ASAIUUI variable. After the transfer copy the ASAIUUI variable back to whatever variable you need it in. Make sure Copy ASAI UUI during Conference/Transfer is enabled in your System Parameters Features.

To answer your question on the 0 , network providers dont usually present the leading digit or 0 to the switch , the system inserts this field based on the below setting , in change sys features

National CPN Prefix
Allows you to apply prefixes to national calling numbers for display at receiving telephones. This
is useful for those telephones that use or implement call back features based on incoming call
numbers. When an ISDN-PRI call arrives, the incoming call setup is analyzed for: (1) whether
the Type of Address (TOA) is national or international, and (2) whether the Numbering Plan
Identifier (NPI) is Unknown or ISDN/Telephony. This administered prefix is applied to national
calls. Prefixing applies to any subsequent display on the same server when the call is
transferred, covered, or forwarded. The same prefixing applies to outgoing ISDN-PRI calls
when the connected number information is returned and meets the same TOA and NPI criteria.
The prefix plus the calling/connected number digit string is limited to 15 digits, with truncation
occurring at the least significant digits.
