question on scanning

I'm using the Kodak Scan Image Control. Certain documents are legal size and when they get scanned the documents saved are cut off.

In the Imaging Software(Windows), before you scan you have to specify whether the paper size is of letter or legal size. This will not work because if there are 30 documents that need to be scanned in one shot of mixed letter and legal sizes, a user cannot click each time and change the paper size.

My perception was that the scanner scans the length of the document and then that image is saved according to those proportions. Isn't there a way to add code that will allow the image saved to be relative to the size of the document?

Thanks.

The only resolution I found to this problem was to load the Imaging page set up option window by setting the imgscan.showsetupbeforescan boolean to true.

Luckily, there will not be many mixed legal and letter size documents being scanned at once.
