Question on profiles and Outlook

On an XP machine, is there a way to set Outlook up so 2 users can use it without having to logoff and sign on with the other persons profile?
The cable company that I have my email with says no.
Right now I have 2 users, each with their own profile. They have to log off and on each time the other user needs to get email.
Isn't there a way to just have one logon and within Outlook have both users mailboxes listed, like in Windows 2000?

You sure can - but it probably isn't the wisest thing to do (you have to seriously consider that both users will have access to both e-mail accounts...). Go to Tools - E-mail accounts - add a new e-mail account (be prepared to fill in all pertenant data). Again, I cannot stress enough that you will give both users access to eachother's e-mail!

You can do quite a bit with Outlook using the command line switches available, including changing the profiles. This is completely scriptable as desktop shortcuts:

The command that starts Microsoft Outlook is Outlook.exe. A command-line switch is the addition of a forward slash (/) followed by the switch name and any parameters the switch has.

How to use switches

Search for the Microsoft Outlook executable file, Outlook.exe, and make a note of the path to Outlook.exe. For example, the path might be C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office11\Outlook.exe.
Click Start, and then click Run.
In the Open box, type the complete path you noted in step 1, including the file name. Press the SPACEBAR once, and then type a forward slash mark (/) followed by the switch.
For example, if you want to use the CleanReminders switch, the command you type in the Open box should look like this:

"C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office11\Outlook.exe" /Cleanreminders
Note Paths that include spaces between words must be enclosed in quotation marks (&quot and are case sensitive.

To run the command, click OK.

Opens Outlook and displays the remote procedure call (RPC) connection status dialog.
