Hi everyone,

I got a little question for you and hopefully you can help me out. Here's my situation: My boyfriend and I have this little LAN at home and sometimes, just to tease each other, we send messages with Net Send on our computers. Problem is, he knows more about computers than I do and he doesn't always play fair! He made it so I couldn't send him messages, but he could still send some to my computer. Anyone know how to block messages like that, without disabling the whole messenger? I'm really curious about it (and frustrated!)

I'd appreciate some suggestions :)

Thanks a lot!

In Control Panel, double-click Services.
Select the Messenger service.
Click Stop.

This is the only way to turn off this service and unfortunately it will turn off Messenger Service and you will not receive error messages. There might be a firewall that you can set up on your computer that block 'net send' messages but I have never personally tried to block something like that. -Brad
