question on mysql

hai,

iam working on the mysql database creation and i had done some simeple programs on creating the database,like tables and records.
here the , problem is i want to make the connectivity with the " c programms " so , that i can call it from my c program.

so, if any body is having the idea about the " how to call the database created in mysql, from a c programe " ,
