Question About Tray Icon And A Crashing Explorer...

I have a vb app that can succefully add/delete/update it's icon in the tray. What i am having a problem with is figureing out how to detect when explorer crashes. When it does, my icon (obviously) goes away. I know this can be done, but can't figure out how to do it. If more info is needed i can give. Thanks in advance.
