I have a quick question about PVC status on my Cisco routers. It seems that on our AT&T T1 interfaces, the subinterfaces will always show in an "active" state regardless if there is a router connected to the other end of the mapped DLCI. However, on out MCI or Sprint T1s, if there is no router on the other mapped end of the DLCI, the DLCI status will show "Inactive", which is the way I have always understood it to work. Can anyone please explain why?
