Question about HTML Source Inspector 1

I have just downloaded Dreamweaver UltraDev and was reading through a book on Dreamweaver 3 - the Bible by Joseph W. Lowery.

My question is ... I can find HTML Code Inspector, but the book makes a reference to HTML Source Inspector.

What (if any) is the difference between the two .. and how do I access and find HTML Source Inspector .. as opposed to the HTML Code Inspector.

There appears to be an option (from the HTML Source Inspector) to jump to an external editor. I don't see this option in the HTML Code Inspector.

In DW 3 there was a seperate window for viewing the source and it didn't have the "select the object also selects the source" feature.

in DW 4 it is more integrated.

Source inspector, code inspector...same thing

If you know how to do this ...

I am curious how I can change (using Dreamweaver 4) the default of <br> when I hit SHIFT->ENTER .. to display <br /> instead?

Any ideas how I can correct this ... as well as other tags to conform with xhtml??

No idea, sorry.

However, since DW is pretty much written around Javascript you could try doing a search on teh directories and see what you come up with.

Apart from that, I would contact Macromedia support.

If you find out, let me know as these things are good to learn.
