Hi,
I have a client who happens to be using Arabic (Unicode UTF-8 charset) in his COM+ applications. After a bit of trouble getting his applications installed, everything on the site is working just fine except for the data in Arabic. On the server if I opened up the site and change IE's encoding settings to "Autoselect" and then "Arabic(Windows)" I can see the arabic text as it should be.
If I browse the site with IE from another computer I cannot see anything more than:
íæáíæ 11, 2003
If I browse the site with Mozilla from another computer and have Arabic(Windows-1256) encoding set, I can see the arabic text unless I reload the page and it ends up like the text above. If it's set to UTF-8 as the site designer claims it should be I also cannot see it.
The site designer claims this is a server issue of not writing out the text encoding properly. I have looked through everything I could find and have not found anything to set this on the server for export. The regional options has both UTF-8 and Arabic(Windows) installed (checked - although grayed out).
If there are any good suggestions out there I would be appreciative.
Thanks
Dan
