I have an older 3600 router that I need to download the latest release from Cisco.com site. Unfortunately I only hvae guest level access because we purchase from a reseller and the updates I need requires registered user access. Can someone tell me an alternate way to acquire IOS updates?

Download IOSHunter 2.98 and register it or legally from a cisco dealer.

Remember that even if you do find a copy of the IOS you want you still need to have proof of ownership should you get audited. If you purchased the router with IP only then download IP/FW/IDS/3DES you could be in big trouble should you get audited.

IS there anyway to accomplish this legally?

thanks for both of your inputs..this helps so much.

You would need to purchase the feature set from your reseller then to be able to access the latest IOS releases for your feature set yuo could purchase a smartnet contract if your router qualifies for it.
