I am working on an IBM 300PL that has an ethernet card that is built into the board, and I need to delete the TCP\IP, which I believe is corrupt, and reinstall it. But I can not find any place to get the driver. Is it possible to just put in a standard driver and have it work? I do not want to delete the original until I can replace it, if I don't have to.

Thanks

Sauce,

Not sure if I understand. You delete the TCP/IP in the Network icon in Control Panel. Then shutdown and reboot. Then go back to Control Panel and add the components back using your original CD or the cab files located at c:\windows\options\cabs to re-install.

If you need drivers for the card itself, IBM's site has an excellent search functions for drivers. Just punch in your particular model number.

You do not need tcp/ip drivers for a particular card, if you delete tcp/ip via the network properties, you then reinstall the Microsoft tcp/ip. What makes you think the tcp/ip is corrupt rather than just mis-configured?
